 It is located on a 6-acre site in Suffolk, Virginia at 219 Prospect Road.

 All apartments at Magnolia Gardens are HUD Section 8 rental subsidy. Residents pay 30% of their adjusted income for rent and utilities.

Magnolia Gardens contains 67 one-bedroom apartments consisting of a kitchen/dining/living area, bathroom, and bedroom.

The facility is fully accessible to the handicapped.

Each apartment is equipped with emergency pull cords to summon assistance, if needed.

 A night manager is availble to respond to emergencies.  A video security system permits residents to monitor the entrance door, and all exterior doors are alarmed to alert residents and staff of unauthorized entry into the building.

Magnolia Gardens has extensive community space, available to all residents. All three floors have lounge and activity areas, including a library on the second floor. The large multipurpose room on the first floor has a refreshment area and a laundry room. Several local stores are within walking distance.

Construction of Magnolia Gardens began in January of 2000. The building was dedicated on March 6, 2003.
