Trinity Woods

Trinity Woods is a non-profit 71-unit apartment facility for low-income elderly who are 62 years and older.  It is located on a 5-acre site in Emporia, Virginia, surrounded by a unique combination of lawns, landscaped areas and natural forest..

Construction of the facility began in September, 1993, with a formal groundbreaking ceremony on October 24. 1993. The cornerstone was set and the building dedicated on October 14, 1994..

All apartments at Trinity Woods are Section 8 rental subsidy. Residents pay 30% of their adjusted income for rent and utilities.

Trinity Woods has 70 one-bedroom apartments consisting of a kitchen/dining/living area, bathroom, and bedroom. The facility is fully accessible to the handicapped. Each apartment is equipped with emergency pull cords to summon assistance, if needed. There is a on-site night manager to respond to emergencies.

A video security system permits residents to monitor the entrance door, and all exterior doors are alarmed to alert residents and staff of unauthorized entry into the building.

Trinity Woods has extensive community space, available to all residents.  All three floors have lounge and activity areas. The large multipurpose room on the first floor has a refreshment area and llaundry room.

Area stores are within walking distance.
